What is an AI agent?
A chatbot answers. An agent acts. It gets a goal ("qualify this lead", "reconcile these invoices"), has a set of tools it is allowed to use (your CRM, calendar, inbox, database, a phone line), and works through the steps, asking a person when it is unsure. Good agents are narrow: one job, clear limits, and a log of every action.
